Strengthening Delegation Through Learning Design
Using AI-supported design to deliver a practical delegation program focused on real behaviour change.
The Challenge
Delivering Behaviour Change on a Tight Clock
While working with Online Education Services (OES), a client, Athena, needed a leadership development course on effective delegation for both leaders who delegate and those being delegated to. The project came with a tight timeline and a challenging stakeholder context, requiring a fast-moving approach that still maintained quality and alignment. The course had to support behaviour change and practical application, not just knowledge transfer.
The Approach
AI-Supported Design for Speed, Clarity, and Alignment
I used ChatGPT for rapid blueprinting and content validation before sharing with stakeholders, which helped us move quickly while maintaining quality and alignment. I designed the course using real-world scenarios and reflective activities, scripted the supporting videos, and created clear frameworks that supported skill transfer into everyday practice. The approach was learner-centred throughout, focusing on what would help learners build confidence and apply what they learned.
The Impact
A Recovered Relationship and a Stronger Learning Outcome
The course helped learners build confidence in delegation, regardless of which side of the delegation relationship they were on. More importantly, the project rescued what had been a troubled engagement and rebuilt the client relationship. The success of this work led to a larger project with OES, demonstrating how thoughtful use of technology and a focus on stakeholder needs can turn challenging situations into opportunities for growth.
